Team White has wrapped up the Patrons League EOM Competition with two Match Days to spare.
They did it in style after beating Team Blue by four goals to nil earlier today in the presence of a capacity crowd at the FIFA Goal Project.
Having been inspired by their new signing, Alhaji Bashir Adewale Adeniyi (Comptroller General of Nigeria Customs Service), they took the lead through Simon Akon in the 20th minute of the first half.
It became a difficult task for Team Blue when Akon made it 2-0 at the restart, to further stake a claim on the coveted trophy.
While Team Blue mounted severe pressure to ensure a comeback, it became mission impossible as Friday Ikhile and Jacob Jeremiah each registered a goal to make it 4-0 against the Danjuma Enape Tutored side.
Today’s victory leaves Team White at the summit of the table with 20 points, 8 points ahead of Team Red, which suggests that the former are mathematically the Champions of the 2024 Patrons League EOM Football Competition.
